NOVEMBER

November is Healthy Body, Healthy Mind month at The Hayridge.

 Running Throughout November.

Children can collect sheets for a Library Trial, where they search the Library for hidden clues. 

Also a Fun Quiz for the children.

Not forgetting you Adults, collect an Adult Colouring sheet and relax for half an hour or so. 

A display of books on Healthy Body, Healthy Mind will be on show in the foyer. Have a browse, there might be something of interest to you. 

Pick up a programme of Active Life, Active Mind to see what events are being held in libraries throughout Devon.

Pick up your reading passport from the foyer at The Hayridge. Complete the challenge to read a book from each decade between the 1920's and 2010's. Which decade will be your favourite? A much loved author from your younger days, or a modern day author.

Come along and do some gentle exercise for your mind and body. The session will include seated exercise, cognitive games and relaxation. Booking is essential as places are limited. Please book at the front desk.

Storytime for Children

Bring your pre-schoolers to have fun listening to a story with fun exercises. This ties in with our theme for November Healthy Body Healthy mind.

READING ALOUD SESSIONS FOR ADULTS -

We will pick a passage, read it aloud then use this as a starting point for a discussion. - All Welcome.

Upholstery Display

Enjoy an innovative display in the foyer, of upholstered furniture by Theresa Maunder.  Some of her items will be for sale.
Theresa will be available on 12th, 14th, & 16th September between 10:30 - 13:00 to discuss her work.

Summer Reading Challenge


The Summer Reading Challenge has now finished.  We would like to congratulate all young people who participated in this event.   With over 370 signing up over 50% completed.  With many reading between 1 and 5 books in excess of 1800 books have been read during the Summer Holidays. 

Thanks must go to the Hayridge Staff Team together with our teenage volunteers who worked so hard to ensure the Challenge went smoothly.

Roald Dahl Family Workshop
